This is one of the most popular entrances that is used by visitors. It is situated between Porta del Popolo and Porta Salaria at the top of Via Veneto and is close to Villa Borghese. Visitors use this entrance to enter the Villa Borghese premises and reach the main door of the gallery.

How to reach? There are several bus stops within 500 meters of the Villa Borghese entrances. You can take bus lines 61, 160, 117, 119, 120, 150, 490, 495, 590, 628 and C3, get down at the Pinciana, and walk towards the gallery. 

Entrance timings: Though the gate will be open from morning to evening, entry to the gallery is allowed only in the following slots - 9am to 11am, 11am to 1pm, 1pm to 3pm, 3pm to 5pm, and 5pm to 7pm.

Piazza del Popolo is located inside Porta del Popolo, the Aurelian Walls' northern gate, and the principal route linking Rome and Northern Italy. 

How to reach? The metro stop Flaminio (Line A) is just in front of the park's main entrance near Piazza del Popolo. You can get down at this stop and walk to the gallery through the garden. 

Entrance timings: Though the gate will be open from morning to evening, entry to the gallery is allowed only in the following slots - 9am to 11am, 11am to 1pm, 1pm to 3pm, 3pm to 5pm, and 5pm to 7pm.

Disabled access

Borghese Gallery is wheelchair friendly. Since the main entrance has steps, the gallery has a special entrance at the back, specially designed for visitors with mobility issues. To avail of the facility, you must send someone into the museum or make a phone call from a mobile device to have a staff member open the back door.
